Lauren is a freelance writer based in the beautiful market town of Oundle, UK. Following a decade working in the media industry and living a frugally metropolitan life in London, she relocated in 2019 to give her the space, both mentally and physically, to pursue creative opportunities full-time. She really hates talking about herself in third person; but here we are.

Lauren’s work focuses on topics including girlhood, grief, men on screen, the y2k pop culture canon, films from the studio system era and mental illness. She also pens the occasional work of fiction and was longlisted for the Laura Kinsella Fellowship 2020 by the National Centre for Writing for her short story The Little Things. You can find Lauren’s words in places like The Guardian, The Independent, Refinery29, NYLON, The Cut, Vulture & ELLE. She is currently working on her first novel.
